Sunday

Ammon had a visit to nursery today. His Daddy took him while I taught the relief society lesson on the restoration (#44 Joseph Smith book). My lesson went really well and the ladies really seemed to get something out of it. I realized that the appearances in the Kirtland Temple (see D&C 110) of the Saviour and Moses, Elias and Elijah all tie into the 3 fold mission of the church. The Saviour appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery first as he is the head of the church. Moses then restored the keys of the gathering of Israel, which is missionary work or PROCLAIMING the gospel, after which Elias restored the keys of the Abrahamic Covenant, which gives us the opportunity to receive the blessings and covenants of the holy temple or PERFECTING the saints. Lastly Elijah restored the keys to the sealing power so that we can be eternal families and REDEEM the dead. They appeared in that order, and that is also the order of the 3 fold mission. Doesn't everything tie in and go together!

Oh - back to Ammon. He wasn't too keen on the lesson that was being given, but he did like it when the blocks and toys came out for playtime. There were only 3 of them today and none of them are his usual little playmates, so I imagine he'd do even better when they are there. It's a good start.
His rash is all gone and he's doing good.

I'm planning to bring Nana home for the afternoon tomorrow so that she can see Rose and Jean on skype, and to catch up on everyone's websites. She'll be here from around 1pm-3 or 4pm so Mum let me know when's a good time to call you when the girls are awake.

Go Ammon! Nursery will be much more fun than adult classes. I hope the girls will be awake sometime in that time frame but that's 11 to 1 or 2pm here. They usually feed about 10:30 and 2:30 so we may be lucky.
Went to church at South Harbour and the first person I saw when I walked inside was Frederick McCarthy. He had 2 of Kato's boys with him. Kato hurt his back getting ready for church so I'll see him next week. Everyone was so friendly. Our lesson was different to yours. (or done differently)

Good to hear Ammon likes nursery. Elisa is quite happy in nursery without me, though come January she'll be in Primary! Wow, time flies.

Emmy, it would have been great to have you at Brooke's party too, but this year we just had too many school friends that she had to choose from. That's why nanny had a little party for Brooke at her place, so you could be with her then. Elisa would LOVE to invite you and Leah and Ammon to her party at the end of November though. She wants to have a butterfly cake and yellow balloons. We will send out an invitation in a couple of weeks time, so keep an eye out for that in your letterbox.

I called Nana to wish her a happy birthday today, and had the caregiver pass on our messages to Nana since she couldn't hear well over the phone. It sounds like she's had a lovely day. Do you think you could show Nana the photos of Brooke's party on my blog? I'm not sure anyone else can access their computer while Stancy is away. Thanks.

Yeah was planning to show her yours and Regan's so she can see all the photos.

Mum - how freaky is that to know the first person you see. I guess you stayed for all of church?

Mum - how amazing that you bumped into someone who used to live next door, in another country! Very cool though.

Janf - thanks so much for getting the flowers for nana. I've popped another letter into the mail for her today.
