sleep

It's not perfect but Caleb's sleep is getting better. Last night I fed him at 7.30pm then again at 7am. He would have gone to sleep a little after 8pm, and except for putting the dummy in around 1am it was all good! And for once I went to bed early too - about 3 hours earlier than I have been lately, so I'm feeling good today. Yay.

Caleb has 5 teeth, is crawling, sitting and loving food.
Ammon loves playdates and sleepovers (going to Grace's tonight), swimming and Little Einsteins.
Leah is going to be 6 next week. She wants a rock climbing birthday and sleepover. Easy. She will have a brand new teacher this year so we will see how that goes. School starts Tuesday.
Emerson is so over being around her little sister. She is liking her independance.

It feels like the holidays have gone quickly but the girls are ready for school. They need time out from each other. They are at Jacinda's till tomorrow so hopefully there isn't too much girly attitude going on.
Nathan is back at work but it's a little slow. But that is to be expected for January, hopefully it'll pick up in the next couple weeks as businesses get over their christmas downtime. He works hard and provides well for our family.
I've started doing some work from home for my current employer. I don't finish maternity leave till May but I've been able to pick up some Excel work that I can do at home and it'll help. I've been doing some in the evenings but will do more once school is back in on the days Ammon is at kindy.
I'd post some pics but most of them are already on Facebook anyway, so pop over and have a look there or on Nathan's page.

Holiday

If you're looking for us, we are on holiday as of tomorrow. Church in the morning, then pack and off to Waihi for 2 nights with Nate's family then 7 nights at Cook's Beach with our friends. We weren't going to go to Waihi but now we are. I'm just hoping we remember to pack everything! It's not like we can do a quick trip home to pick things up that we forgot like we could this past week at the farm.
We went to the family farm to camp from Monday to Thursday with our friends the Robinson's, Hapuku's and Tini's. It was a GREAT time and boy there are some stories that will be told and retold for some time to come. Motorbikes, swimming, eeling, fireworks, roasted marshmallows, wave pool, Wendy's, Articulate (the game).... ah so fun.
Emmy's birthday was on Thursday. She was very happy to get her itunes cards from Uncle Regan and Uncle Andre. And she has spent them already. She's loving it. She also got a baptism dress, scriptures, CTR ring, clothes, journal, chocolate, skipping rope, books, pen and headbands. Oh and a necklace from Great-Grandma. Granny is going to take her shoe shopping when we get home from holiday for some church shoes.
New Years Eve was spent at the Robinson's for dinner and a swim and another game of Articulate. That is one game I would like to get for our family. It gets the brain thinking. We saw in the new year (even Emerson did, the other 3 fell asleep) and Nate thought that deserved a celebratory swim. Brrrrrr.....
So we have some pretty tired kids, and it's not going to get much better for a couple days yet. Ah well, it's holidays!
See you on the 11th.

To Jacinda: H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y for tomorrow! I hope you have a really great day with your family. xx
