Camping

Emerson has her overnight camp at school tonight. She is so excited. We've just been down there to put up our tent for them to use (and realized we didn't dry it out after the last lot of camping!! Doh.) when we talked to her teacher Mrs Williamson. She said Emerson is going to be a great leader. Watching her today she was the one who stepped up and lead everyone and she did awesome. Nice to hear that praise from her teacher. They are doing lots of outside activities today as part of their camp week. Nathan had a great time with her at Raglan yesterday and then will do security in the morning and be there when she wakes up. She is excited but I think she is a bit nervous too, kept wanting to kiss us and hug us while we were there, like she didn't quite want us to leave.
It's supposed to shower today and tomorrow so hopefully she doesn't get too wet or that it doesn't dampen the activities and excitement too much.

I took the boys swimming this morning with Nan. Water babies!!

Ok must go clean my house now, while I have no kids (thanks Mum). Call it a pressie for my darling. It's our 11 year anniversary tomorrow - we're off and out for dinner and a movie. Just us. Yeeha. We've been together for 12 years now, married for 11, 7 pregnancies, 4 kids, trips to Canada, Fiji and Australia and still very much in love. Life is good.

She loved it. Which means she'll be keen as for senior camp next year. Lots of parent helpers so a good success all round.
